Arsene’s mistake?

A new day, some good news/rumours and some bad. Lets talk about the bad one first. Last week rumours of Arsene entering the race for Lyon striker Benzema surfaced and got us all talking about it. There was a bit of shock among the fans considering Arsene’s frugal transfer policy. But as you know, there’s never smoke without fire. Wenger yesterday admitted he was interested in the striker but din’t put a bid in because he never thought Lyon would sell him this season. AW : “‘There is one striker who interested me, but he left for Madrid,I did not make an approach because I would never have thought that Lyon would sell this year.” Now that’s got me a bit furious. Why? Wenger  for me has been a model of perfection. Have we missed out on a good player just because Arsene Wenger had a feeling that Lyon would not sell?  Anyways theres not much Wenger could do now about Benzema.Having said all that , I am still a big fan of Wenger . Now to the good bit of news. Arsene Wenger has like always made sure that Arsenal have a bright future. After having Ramsey sign a contract extension , bright young Wilshere has also signed a new long term contract at Arsenal.  Future does look bright. I hope we can do it this season and make the present bright too.Lets hope Wenger goes about his transfer business secretly and swiftly keeping in mind the fact that money spenders like Real Madrid and Manchester City are always ready to hijack a potential transfer. Hope for the best and forget the rest!

Cheers ! 🙂

A delibrate mistake if you ask me. I bet it was the likelihood of a bidding war that stopped him. But he wouldn’t say that now, would he?

Ya, but if he’s really interested in the player he should have gone for it….Atleast put in a bid and see…..I bet if Real Madrid functioned on Arsene’s thinking they would never have bought any of the players..
