6 Injured + 2 sold but we are still gonna Rule

Not a ball kicked yet and we already have a ‘house-full’ in the treatment room. Djourou,Theo,Diaby,Nasri,Rosicky and Fabianski will all miss out on the trip to Goodison Park. Djourou,Nasri and Fabianski are expected to spend a considerable time on the treatment table while Diaby,Theo and Rosicky are expected to be back in a couple of weeks. It’s all too familiar to Arsenal fans and I am sure not many fans would be surprised to see so many players on the injury list. But again Wenger is confident and so am I.

We haven’t added any experience or quality players as promised at the last shareholder meeting but we should have known that by now. Wenger is more than happy with the youngsters coming good and grabbing a first team place than have some one come in from outside.Although it’s a bit early to bash Wenger for not buying enough players but we do lack the depth for a whole season. I think we have  quality and are good enough for Everton and Celtic but we do need more players than that to maintain a sustained challenge for the Premier League.

It’s been quite some time now and I am sure Wenger can’t play the ‘Injury’ card or ‘Youngsters’ card this season. Having said that all our youngsters have had one more year of experience and disappointment and will be hungry to prove their worth.Plus we have the likes of Arshavin and Eduardo playing so there is no reason to be negative.  I am as optimistic as ever that Arsenal will perform very well this season and surprise every one come May 2010.

In some other not so relevant news Fabregas’ father has said that he can’t see Fabregas leaving for Barca this summer. I don’t think he needed to come out and say that because it would be ridiculous to even think that Wenger would let him go this season. My little flying birdie tells me that Wenger will sign 2 players before the window closes and that to me would be a big big boost to the squad.Anyway I am too excited to see the gunners in action and for all those who are going to the game tomorrow I hope you rest your throat’s today and come cheering at the top of your voice tomorrow.

We’ll have a Match Preview, Squad Prediction and final score prediction tomorrow so watch out for that on this page  and Have a great day!

Cheers and Keep Gunning.

Injuries Injuries Injuries.Wenger should forget about buying players and instead spend big on a new fitness coach. PLZ WENGER. I really don’t think Tony Colbert is doing the job well.
